Will blatant tyranny ever stop? The FBI cracks down on natural therapy for COVID-19

(NaturalHealth365) As the world continues to fight the spread of SARS-CoV-2 – which is part of this pandemic illness COVID-19 – we continue to hear about new and experimental treatments aimed to help people suffering from this infectious disease.  Of course, it’s one thing to quash outlandish claims of magical cures and people should be discouraged from doing dangerous ill-advised things.  But, to suppress the use of vitamins?  Is the FBI serious about this?

In heartbreaking news out of Michigan, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), in cahoots with the United States Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), recently raided a Detroit-area business for providing, you guessed it, a research-backed natural treatment: high dose vitamin C therapy.

We can only imagine why the government is trying to keep the public from accessing this type of therapy.  Check out this video news report – below:

Why the shutdown? Government blocks public from this natural and effective immune-boosting therapy and raids local business

Allure Medical Spa in Shelby Township, MI made headlines on Thursday April 23, 2020, when the facility was flooded with FBI agents and HHS officials who came to raid the facility.

The multi-local company was founded by osteopathic physician Dr. Charles Mok and offers a variety of alternative and natural treatment services including stem cell therapy, varicose vein treatments, and Botox. Since mid-April, Allure Medical has also offered vitamin C infusion therapy to patients as a way to boost immune health and support faster recovery from COVID-19.

The facility has even been offering these infusions to frontline workers, including police officers, paramedics, and nurses, free of charge.

According to the federal authorities, the facility failed to utilize appropriate safety protocols and was issuing “fraudulent” treatment for COVID-19. Meanwhile, a statement on the Allure Medical website says that safety measures had been enacted at the facility to ensure their clients could safely get the help they need while following social distancing guidelines.

It’s not clear yet whether any violations of safety protocols were actually made, and whether Allure Medical was actually claiming that vitamin C “cures” COVID-19. But many argue that it’s sound advice for medical facilities such as this one to remain open right now.

After all, doctors around the country are finding that people are afraid to go to hospitals and aren’t seeking medical care even when it’s necessary. The concern is that this may lead to unnecessary hospitalizations and worsening health outcomes – an issue that may only further burden healthcare facilities and systems.

Meanwhile, the state of Michigian has some of the country’s strictest social distancing policies, and the governor recently extended stay-at-home orders until May 15. But under her guidelines, people are permitted to leave their residence in order to “perform tasks that are necessary to their health and safety.”

Funny. It seems the government doesn’t agree that a person’s individual rights to pursue alternative natural treatment for their health and safety should be honored during a pandemic.

“No proof” that vitamin C works? Nevermind decades of research – perhaps the government just doesn’t like attention taken away from pricey pharmaceutical drugs

As noted by the United States Food and Drug Administration, there is currently no FDA-approved drug or therapy that has been proven to to treat or prevent COVID-19.  But watch for the sleight of hand:

Just because something is not FDA-approved doesn’t necessarily mean there is “no” proof to support its use!

For example, and as we already reported, there are years of research already showing that high dose  vitamin C therapy is associated with reduced incidence and severity of immune-related illnesses including the common cold, the flu, and pneumonia.  And we’ve already heard about reports out of China, New York, and other places where doctors are in fact using I.V. vitamin C for their hospitalized COVID-19 patients.

In other words: the fact that this doctor in Michigan was offering it to his patients is not unique by any means.

Of course, it’s not hard to imagine how this nutrient could be so beneficial for boosting the body’s natural defenses right now. As an antioxidant, antibacterial, and antiviral substance, vitamin C protects the body from harmful free radicals, helps the body absorb iron, reduces excess inflammation, and has been shown to boost immune function. The idea that it is a “fraudulent” intervention is a stretch, to say the least.

Indeed, this simple vitamin appears so promising that a clinical trial is going on right now in China with the explicit purpose of investigating whether high dose vitamin C infusions can help people with pneumonia caused by SARS-CoV-2.  For the study, experimenters plan to infuse subjects from the experimental group 12,000 milligrams (12 grams) of vitamin C twice per day for 7 days. As you may know, that is well over the maximum “recommended daily amount” of vitamin C for adults, which the National Institutes of Health states is 2,000 mg.

Please note: while taking more than the recommended upper limit of vitamin C isn’t life-threatening, you should always consult with your doctor before starting any new supplement or medication – just be aware that many conventionally-trained doctors will not be up-to-date on the latest research surrounding natural medicine and alternative therapies.

Results from the trial are expected in September 2020.  Of course, we’re looking forward to hearing about some positive results.  And, we can only hope that the mainstream media and government health agencies will not try to suppress the truth.
