Curing Alzheimer’s disease: The possibilities are endless

Curing Alzheimer’s disease: The possibilities are endless

(NaturalHealth365) According to the Alzheimer’s Association, more than 5 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease – with a projected death toll of one in three people due to Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia.  Currently the sixth leading cause of death in the United States, Alzheimer’s will cost the nation a staggering $236 billion in 2016 alone – inflicting a terrible financial burden on top of the tragic (preventable) loss of life.

Yet in the midst of these discouraging statistics, there is hope.  Dr. Thomas Lewis and his colleagues have developed a method of early screening for Alzheimer’s – along with techniques for preventing and reversing the signs of Alzheimer’s – in many cases.

Despite what you’ve been told by conventional medicine – there is a cure for Alzheimer’s.  On the next NaturalHealth365 Talk Hour, Jonathan Landsman and Thomas Lewis, PhD will talk about many groundbreaking (scientifically-validated) advancements in detecting and treating Alzheimer’s – by using an integrative approach that addresses the root cause of dementia.  If you know someone who is concerned about Alzheimer’s – or if you want to protect your own brain health and guard against memory loss – don’t miss this valuable program.

There is a way to detect Alzheimer’s – years before symptoms arise

Noting that the “eyes are the windows to the soul” (and body), Lewis tests the lens and retina of the eyes, as this is where the “hallmark” protein of Alzheimer’s – beta amyloid – can appear, sometimes years before the onset of any brain disorder.  Commonly used brain imaging techniques – such as PET scans and MRIs – are expensive, and not covered by insurance when performed in regards to future concerns about Alzheimer’s.  But, the good news: ocular testing can be performed for roughly 1/10th the cost, according to Dr. Lewis.

Keep in mind, Alzheimer’s, like glaucoma, is a neurodegenerative health issue.  As the death of retinal cells lead to glaucoma, death of neurons can also lead to Alzheimer’s.  But, if the cause of the lost neurons is treated, new brain tissue can be produced – along with better brain function.

Another important tool developed by Dr. Lewis and his colleagues is the “chronic disease temperature” (CDT) – which combines biomarkers to arrive at one value that can assess the current state of the patient’s health and provide for an accurate risk assessment.  On the next NaturalHealth365 Talk Hour, we’ll talk about these tests plus much more!

Conventionally-trained doctors often ignore the true risk factors of Alzheimer’s disease

Alzheimer’s is a complex and multi-factorial disease – with many risk factors that are often overlooked by Western medicine.  Surprisingly, genetics play only a minor role, as true genetically-based Alzheimer’s – known as “Family Alzheimer’s” – occurs only 2 percent of the time.

As the brain requires healthy fats to survive, poor nutrition – including trendy low-fat diets – can actually contribute to Alzheimer’s. In fact, studies have shown that people with higher levels of fish oil in their blood have lower incidence of the disease.  Of course, poor oral health, smoking plus a wide variety of pro-inflammatory habits can also increase your risk of dementia.

Alzheimer’s, in many ways, is worse than cancer – because if you lose your mind – it’s very difficult to help yourself.  Conventionally-trained physicians are simply unaware of the solutions.  Don’t be left out in the cold – join us for a great show about how to identify and reduce your risk of Alzheimer’s, before it’s too late.
